Tour overview

This boat tour allows you to discover the natural aspects of this biosphere of the isles and marin parc of Moheli island

You can see white sand beaches and beautiful coral reefs

Drive to the bay of Nioumachoi where to embarque on the boat to the Wenefu island

It is a wonderful isolated island surrounded by a large coral reef and white sand beaches

the multicorlored water reflect the contrast with the blue of the ocean, the green coral water and the green vegetation on the small island

You have your snorkeling area in this natural paradise enjoing a variety of shells, corals, fishes and green turtles inside the water

The marine fauna of Moheli includes 770 genera of saltwater fish, belonging to 356 different species and 114 families. It is only in recent years that awareness of the protection of Moheli's natural resources has been raised among the population.

One must also not forget the starfish in various colors, the seashells, and of course the seahorse, a symbol of Moheli (very difficult to see). Be careful, many species are protected and it is forbidden to collect them. You will also encounter another resident who roams the turquoise waters of the lagoon: the turtle.

Snorkeling at the Nioumachoi Islets
The Nioumachoi Islets offer a unique and educational snorkeling experience. Fifth-grade students were able to explore the fascinating world of corals, colorful fish, and seagrass beds. This activity was carried out in collaboration with Mohéli National Park and the AMEO project, and was funded by the European Union as part of the INTERREG VI Indian Ocean program. The children were made aware of the importance of protecting the marine environment and understood the collective responsibility that falls on every citizen.

The Nioumachoi islets, located in the heart of the national marine park, are one of the most beautiful underwater sites in the Indian Ocean. The 9 islets cover an area of 900 hectares, each surrounded by vast beaches that are heavily frequented by turtles during nesting.

This is one of the high light spot in Comoro
