Traditional Fishing Tour

Full day traditional fishing tour

The tour depart from hotel and drive to traditional village of Itsandra

Take the boat with 2 experienced traditional fishermen to the west side of the island for the best fishing area

Fishing equipements will be locally provided and people will have hat and sun skin lotion to cover themselves from the sun as it is usually hot during the day

The boat will have some times its cover on top

You will use mostly fishing line, a traditional fishing basket to put the baits and hooks but there is cooler box with ice provided for the fishes once catch

There is also the vital items, such as water, soft drinks and picnique box for the day

Fishing trip include safejackets on board

Around the west you can ride to castle rock or to Rayer zone, which is very well known to be rich in fishes by the local fishermen

There is a wide variety of local fishes around and the most popular are the Red tuna, dorado, blue marlin, wahoo, bonito, red fish and capitain

Have a brief stop for picnique lunch

Proceed the fishing to the hahaya and the Ntaoueni zone which are very intresting area foe fishery in the grande Comore island

The nrth west side is beleived to have important lagoons such as the Lagoon of Mitsamihouli and the famous lagoons of the Trou du prophete and the dragon rocks lagon which are also very rich in fish, these coast also offers opportunities in the spring tide saison

And at very low tide, the local ladies take profit to catch rest of small fishes and octupus in the large coral reefs

These will also make you discover the local value for traditional fish which practice include both Galawa boat made of tree tranks and kwassa boat made of rezine fiber

After this impressive experience, you sail back to Itsandra and driver back to the hotel
