8h00 Beginning of the ascent of the Karthala volcano (dynamic), during which we cross very varied landscapes. At an altitude of 2361m, it is the summit of the archipelago and one of the largest active craters in the world (8km in circumference). 1600m of altitude difference to the "base camp". Possibility to discover the local endemic fauna and flora such as endemic birds and medicinal plants
